TRIP summary
This is your chance to disconnect and ride through the wild side of Africa. This tour offers a combination of long and technical riding days, beautiful scenery, plenty of wildlife, and a combination of tent and lodge accommodations. We will likely see herds of wild desert elephants, Giraffe, Zebra and Gemsbok. We meet in Windhoek (capital of Namibia) to collect our motorcycles and start the eleven day “loop” journey.
Highlights include visits to Epupa Falls, Marienfluss Valley, Camp Syncro, Van Zyls Pass, Purros Canyons, Marble Camp and the Brandberg Mountains. We’ll meet the nomadic indigenous Himba people, the women famed for the ochre mud their unique hair plaits.
The riding is engaging and varies from steep rocky passes, sandy two tracks, wide open desert plains and more - sometimes all in one day. Kaokoland really is the last unspoiled paradise in Africa. The 7 wilderness nights on tour are camping with tents and mattresses deep in rural Africa. Don't be surprised if you wake up to an elephant heard in your camp!
